Write for us
Western Racing Review welcomes pitches that explain one part of horse racing clearly and responsibly. We are interested in evergreen topics that help readers understand the sport, not tips, predictions or promotional copy.
What makes a strong pitch
Propose one precise question, explain why a general reader might care and outline the answer you would provide. Useful subjects include race formats, course design, terminology, equipment and sporting traditions. A pitch should have a distinct angle and a clear boundary.
Writing expectations
Use plain English, explain specialist language and separate verifiable description from opinion. We welcome comparisons and historical context when they serve the central question. Avoid unsupported claims, betting recommendations, sales language and material that requires readers to act on professional advice.
How to send a proposal
Send your pitch through the Contact page, choosing the editorial option and including a short outline of the subject and approach. A proposal is not a promise of publication; we will consider its fit, clarity and usefulness to readers.
